Peace and Tolerance and Not Jihad is Islam’s Central Value
On Feb 27, LFP Layyah Chapter organized seminar on Tolerance, clubbed with chapter’s election. Mr Aurangzeb was unanimously elected as the president, Ms Bushra Iftikhar as the general secretary and Mr Adeel Ahmed as the information secretary.

Mr Aurangzeb introduced the seminar and was followed by Syed Iftikhar Gilani who said that violence never brings permanent peace; he therefore suggested that all political parties must do the right thing which is to find an alternative to violence, denounce violence once and for all, use dialogue as the only way to resolve differences, be tolerant, understanding and ready to abide by the rule of law of the land.
Dr Javaid Kanjal said that freedom of speech is the foundation of liberalism and essential for associated freedoms and rights. He said that without it we can neither have freedom of press nor any other rights such as political debate, or religious beliefs.
Mr Pervaiz said that defended the religiously motivated people and said these people have fought to defend this country and have been its backbone at every level.
Professor Mussarat said that peace and tolerance was the central value of Islam.
Question and answer session took place after each speech. The seminar ended with a vote of thanks by Mr Aurangzeb.
